Yes. We will need to conduct a site visit to ensure we have a proper understanding of the existing electrical system and what will be required. This ensures that the estimate is as accurate as possible and minimises the risk of unexpected surprises. Drop us a line, and we will get back to you quickly.
Unfortunately not. Every premises is different and we need to ascertain the safety of the existing lighting circuit. For example many older properties don’t have an earth in the lighting circuit or RCD protection. Fitting a modern metallic light and/or metallic switch would increase the risk of electric shock to the home owner in the event of a fault. Many new light fittings have little or no room for the connection of older circuits and may require addition work to fit junction boxes etc. Give us a call and we’ll be more than happy to arrange a visit and quote.
No. Certification doesn’t only consist of the final tests of the circuit but also includes the method of installation such as zones cables are permitted to be run in, type, number and length of cables, fixings plus many other factors. At this stage the majority of the new installation will likely all be concealed (plastered in walls, under floors or behind units) and cannot be inspected. As such we cannot certify that it is compliant with either electrical or building regulations.
Yes. We are registered with OZEV and you may be able to claim a government grant of up to £350 (subject to conditions) Please see the government website for more details.
